Theme 03 · The Neighborhood
The quiet end of a peaceful town in the most peaceful country in Central America.
Jungle-shrouded lots, a nighttime security guard next door, and nights that sound like surf and cicadas. The K Section is Guiones at its calmest.
Peace of mind, layered
Relax completely. Every layer is handled.
01
Guard next door
A nighttime security post sits immediately beside the property: a professional presence on the street through the hours that matter.
02
Cameras + alarm
Exterior monitoring cameras and a full alarm system on the house itself, managed by the on-the-ground team.
03
Walled & gated
A fully walled perimeter with a solid teak entry gate, so the pool and gardens are completely private.
04
Community watch
Nosara's volunteer security association funds Tourist Police support, neighborhood-watch coordination, and community cameras across town.
Zoom out and the picture holds: Costa Rica dissolved its army in 1948 and has spent the budget on schools and national parks ever since. The Global Peace Index ranks it the most peaceful country in Central America, and Nosara, a town built around families, yoga, and surf, is regarded as one of the safest beach communities in the country.
Why "K"
The section locals point to when you ask where to stay.
Guiones doesn't do street names; the town runs on lettered sections, and K is the quiet one: the southern residential pocket where lots run larger and homes disappear behind walls of jungle green.
"Properties here tend to be a bit larger than the other sections along the beach and offer a very organic feel… many of the homes are built behind a facade of lush jungle landscaping and can't be seen from the road."Wanderlust Realty, on the K Section
That makes it the quiet corner to actually relax in, and the perfect jumping-off point for the rest of town: a few minutes' walk to the Baker's Beach entrance and Bodhi Tree, and a short stroll or bike ride up the shaded roads to the main beach entrance, the surf clubs, and every restaurant in Guiones. Close to everything, next to nothing.

Minutes from your gate
The rest of town, when you want it.
These aren't the K Section; they're what an easy stroll or bike ride up the shaded roads gets you: the cafe corners, the shops, and the buzz around the main beach entrance. Then you ride home to the quiet.

Guests noticed
"Peace and quiet" isn't our phrase. It's theirs.
“This property is truly ideal, located in the K section and just a short walk to the beach. It was a perfect fit for my family, including my 70-year-old parents. We thoroughly enjoyed both the home and the Nosara area. Whether you’re looking to relax as a beach bum and enjoy some peace and quiet, or seek adventure through ATVing, horseback riding, surfing, and more, this location offers it all. We also loved exploring the beautiful local restaurants. Thank you for being such responsive and attentive hosts, and for going above and beyond to help us recover the belongings we accidentally left behind.”
“Beautiful house, well equipped, with responsive hosts. Great location to the beach. Short walk to restaurants. Hosts responded quickly to any questions/requests.”
Questions
Safety & neighborhood questions
What security does the house itself have?
A nighttime security guard is posted immediately next door, and the property has exterior monitoring cameras, an alarm system, and a fully walled and gated perimeter with a solid teak entry gate.
Is Nosara safe?
Nosara is widely regarded as one of the safest beach communities in Costa Rica, and Costa Rica, which abolished its army in 1948, is ranked the most peaceful country in Central America by the Global Peace Index. Like anywhere, don't leave valuables on the beach; the community-funded security network exists to keep it that way.
What is the K Section exactly?
Guiones has no street names; neighborhoods go by letters. K is the quiet, jungle-shrouded residential section at the south end: larger lots, homes tucked behind lush landscaping, walkable to the beach and to Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort, and away from the restaurant-strip bustle of the main entrance.
Can we arrange additional security?
Yes. Beyond the nighttime guard next door and the house's cameras and alarm, dedicated private security for your stay can be arranged through the concierge team, as can private chefs and transportation.
Will we hear traffic or bars at night?
No. K Section nights sound like cicadas, surf, and the occasional howler monkey. The town's restaurants are a short walk or bike ride away: close enough for dinner, far enough for silence.
Sleep like the town is watching over you.
Because between the guard next door, the cameras, and the cicadas, it is.
